As a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, LNAC is entirely volunteer run with a strong DIY eithic. We are always looking forward to meeting others with similar drives and passions to share this endeavor with. If you like what is happening here, or envision something more, lets DIT (do it together).
We are currently seeking:
Board Members - Given our goal of providing career-building experience to involved youth, our board of directors has been among the youngest. We are transitioning to an Advisory Council composed of those youth active in the center and creating a Working Board of professionals. We are always seeking members engaged in the notion of social change through music education and performance, who have special expertise particularly in accounting, non-profit law, communications, public relations, and fundraising.
Volunteer - General operations and maintenance are conducted by a staff of volunteers with a passion for the arts and making things happen. Help is always needed running sound, keeping grounds, and working the door. Volunteers recieve free admission on nights worked!
Booking - Bookers acquire a familiarity and communication with musical acts from all across the country, and even the world. We've been at it for over 15 years and are seeking more accomplices to bounce ideas with. A thicker booking committee means more diversity in programming.
Printmaking Apprenticeships - We are currently searching for 2 individuals interested in pursuing printmaking. These positions are competitive. Apprentices will recieve free access to All Along Press along with limited subsidized materials. They will be provided with proper training and instruction in silk screening, letter press, and wood block cutting. Their job will be to assist in the production of print media and Poster design & production. You could paper this city with good prints while building your portfolio at minimal costs.
Printmaking Instructor - This position is for a Fine Arts major in a College or University. You will be giving instruction to the aforementioned apprentices. If you are recieving Federal Work Study in your financial aid package, chances are that you could be paid for instructing in a print shop for a NPO.
If any of these interest you, or if you have ideas of your own you'd like to share, please contact us!
